Pour El Generico, il s'agit de sa 6e année consécutive dans le Top 5. Pour Sylvain Grenier, Samson, Stupified et Beef Wellington, il s'agit d'un premier Top 10. Steen et Generico ont remporté les titres par équipe de la ROH en plus de s'affirmer en simple, Steen à la ROH et Generico principalement en Europe et au Japon pour Dragon Gate. Les 2 ont d'ailleurs été champions de la IWS au cours de l'année et Steen a aussi remporté le titre de la ISW. Si Steen utilise sa rudesse à bon escient, Generico pour sa part se démarque par sa haute voltige, les 2 étant considérés parmi les meilleurs au monde dans leur catégorie. Franky a lutté à la IWS et à la NCW. Il a aussi eu l'un des meilleurs matchs cette année contre AJ Styles et Don Paysan et commence à se faire remarquer par la WWE. Parlant de Paysan, il est devenu champion de la NCW et a eu une très bonne rivalité et avec Samson et avec Franky.
LuFisto a probablement connue sa plus grosse année, surtout aux états-Unis. Elle a entre autres lutté contre les 3 Dudleys. Sylvain Grenier a connu pour sa part son année la plus occupée au Québec. Au passage, il a remporté les titres par équipe de la NCW, le titre de la NCW et a eu un excellent match face à Abyss. C'est Samson que Grenier a battu pour le titre de la NCW. Samson était champion pour la première fois et sa rivalité avec Paysan a fait de lui le plus détesté au Québec. Stupified a remporté les titres par équipe de CHIKARA et de la IWS en plus d'avoir 2 dark matchs à la ROH. Tank a été champion à la FCL, champion Inter-Cités à la NCW en plus d'avoir une grosse rivalité avec Nova Cain. Finalement Beef Wellington a été le lutteur le plus détesté de la IWS à travers sa rivalité avec PCP Manny en plus de mettre la main sur les titres par équipe de la CZW avec Greg Excellence.
Steen and Generico won the ROH tag titles and also had success in single competition, Steen for ROH and Generico mainly in Europe and for Dragon Gate in Japan. Both of them became IWS champion during the year while Steen also won the ISW title. Steen is now known as one of the best brawler in the World and Generico of course is one of the best flying wrestler. Franky wrestled for IWS and NCW. He had one of the best match this year against Styles and Paysan and started to get notice by WWE. Speaking of Paysan, he won the NCW title and had very good feuds with Franky and Samson. LuFisto probably had the best year of her career, mainly in the States, where she fought against the 3 Dudleys. Sylvain Grenier had a very busy year on the Quebec indy scene. He had won the NCW title, the NCW tag titles with Rob Conway and had a excellent match with Abyss. Grenier beat Samson for the NCW title. But even with that loss, Samson was on top at NCW, becoming champion for the first time and having a feud with Paysan that made him the most hated wrestler in Quebec. Stupified held the IWS and CHIKARA tag titles. He also had 2 dark matches with ROH. Tank was FCL champion and NCW Inter-Cities champion, while having a good feud with Nova Cain. Finally Beef was the most hated wrestler in IWS feuding with PCP Manny all year long and he also won the CZW tag titles with Greg Excellence.

Eddy a principalement lutté à la IWS en 2008, mais a aussi fait sentir sa présence à la ALF, mariant Anna Minoushka en plein milieu du ring. Exess a lutté pour la IWS et la MWF. Il a eu une bonne rivalité avec Shayne Hawke mais a connu une moins grosse année que par les années passées ce qui explique qu'il n'est pas dans le Top 10. Hawke a également lutté pour CHIKARA en plus de devenir un joueur de plus en plus important au Québec, certainement grâce à l'expérience qu'il prend aux états-Unis. Jimmy Stone fait partie de la nouvelle ère de la NCW. Il a eu une rivalité avec Handsome JF et a été champion Inter-Cités de la NCW. Player Uno, en plus d'avoir été champion par équipe avec Stupified a aussi fait partie d'un des matchs de l'année avec celui-ci. 2.0 ont lutté pour la CZW en plus d'avoir été en Europe pour CHIKARA. Ils ont également fait leurs débuts à la PWG. Alex Price a tant qu'à lui remporté le titre de la R2W tandis que James Kraven a lutté un peu partout, faisant entre autres équipe avec Guil Reno à la NCW. Marko Estrada a pour sa part continué de lutter à la R2W en plus de faire équipe avec Joshua Aero à la IWS.
Eddy mainly wrestled for IWS in 2008, but also wrestled for ALF as well, tying the knot with Anna Minoushka on his way there. Exess wrestled for IWS and MWF. He had a good feud with Shayne Hawke, but overall, didn't have a big year like he was used to over the past years, explaining why he's not in the Top 10. Hawke also wrestled for CHIKARA, bringing back the experience he's getting there in Quebec, where he's beginning to be a very important player. Jimmy Stone is part of the new era in NCW. He had a feud with Handsome JF and was Inter-Cities champion. Adding to the tag championships he won with Stupified, both were involved in one of the match of the year. 2.0 wrestled for CZW and also in Europe for CHIKARA. They also made their debuts in PWG. Alex Price won the R2W title while James Kraven wrestled for a lot of promotions, while teaming with Guil Reno in NCW. Marko Estrada continued to wrestle for R2W and to team with Joshua Aero in IWS.

PCO a obtenu pour une 2e année consécutive un dark match à la WWE, en plus d'avoir continué à lutter en Angleterre. De plus, il a fait partie du gala anniversaire de la NWA et de faire quelques apparitions au Québec. Jake Matthews a principalement lutté pour la NCW cette année, toujours accompagné de sa charmante Lolipop. Il y a remporté le titre Triple Couronne. Nova Cain a connu une excellente année, sûrement sa meilleure en carrière, alors qu'il s'est établit comme un des plus détestés à la NCW. En plus d'avoir remporté le titre Inter-Cités, il a amené sa rivalité avec Tank un peu partout en province. Chakal fut égal à lui-même, livrant toujours d'excellents combats et en continuant à se faire haïr par la foule de la NCW. Viking a connu des hauts et des bas, quittant et revenant à la IWS au cours de l'année. Le reste du temps, il l'a partagé à la MWF et aux états-Unis, surtout à la IWA Mid-South.
Mike Sydal est devenu en 2008 l'un des bons lutteurs de haute-voltige au Québec, en se démarquant surtout à la MWF où il a remporté le titre Junior. Même chose pour Van Hawk qui en plus de lutter pour sa fédération mère, la GEW, a lutté un peu partout au Québec, soit à la FCL, ALF et MWF pour n'en nommer que quelques unes. Max Boyer aurait pu se retrouver plus haut au classement s'il n'avait pas décidé de se retirer suite à sa rivalité avec Kevin Steen à la IWS. Il aura détenu le titre Canadien de la IWS durant cette période. Twiggy en a surpris plus d'un cette année en faisant partie d'un des matchs de l'année face à son mentor, El Generico, en plus d'avoir remporté les titres par équipe de la IWS avec Franky the Mobster. Michael Von Payton a pour sa part principalement lutté à la ALF avec Misty Haven ainsi qu'à la ISW.
PCO had a dark match with WWE for a second year in a row. He also wrestled in England during the year as well as for the NWA anniversary show while doing some appearences in Quebec. Jake Matthews mainly wrestled for NCW, always with his lovely Lolipop. He won the Triple Crown title. Nova Cain had a very good year, probably his best, as he became one of NCW's most hated wrestler. He won the Inter-Cities title and had a feud all over the provnce with Tank. Chakal, as usual, had good matches and was one of the most hated for NCW. Viking had ups and downs, leaving and coming back to IWS during the year. He also wrestled for MWF and in the States for IWA Mid-South.
Mike Sydal became this year one of the best flying wrestler in Quebec, shining mostly for MWF where he won the Junior title. Same goes for Van Hawk, who not only wrestled for his home promotion GEW, but in a few other places like FCL, ALF and MWF. Max Boyer would have been higher in the ranking if he had not decided to retire after his feud with Kevin Steen in IWS. He held the Canadian title during that period. Twiggy surprised a few this year by being part of one of the match of year against his professor El Generico. He also won the IWS tag titles with Franky the Mobster. Michael Von Payton wrestled mainly for ALF with Misty Haven as well as ISW.

Joshua Aero a tout comme Boyer, perdu beaucoup de place au classement en se retirant du monde de la lutte à l'automne. En 2008, il a surtout lutté en équipe avec Marko Estrada sous le nom de Maritime Express. Jay Phenomenom a connu une solide année dans la division par équipe de la NCW étant champion par équipe à 2 reprises avec son partenaire Karl Briscoe. Toujours dans la division par équipe de la NCW, Kid Rock et son partenaire Gorgeous Mike ont aussi connu du succès en remportant les titres. Ils ont aussi lutté à la FCL. Même chose pour Guil Reno, qui lutte en équipe avec James Kraven à la NCW et qui a été champion par équipe de la FCL avec son frère Brian. Pee Wee a enfin été reconnu pour son travail acharné en grimpant les échelons dans la région de Québec, devenant même champion de la R2W pour une partie de l'année. Alex Silva est un des meilleurs jeunes prospects au Québec. Fils de l'ex-lutteur Tommy Rose, il fait déjà sa marque aux états-Unis, ayant remporté un titre à Hawaii.
Jeremy Barnoff, aussi connu sous le nom du Prophet lutte principalement à la MWF et à la SWR. La Parfaite Caroline a certainement réalisé un rêve cette année en devenant championne de la ALF et se retrouve dans le Top 50 pour une 2e année consécutive, rejoignant un groupe sélect de filles qui ont réussi l'exploit, soit LuFisto, Vanessa Kraven et Kacey Diamond. X-Ode Pat Guénette a choqué tous les fans de Valleyfield en se tournant contre son ami Marvelous Jeff, mais aussi contre sa propre mère qui est co-propriétaire de la MWF. Il est devenu la personne la plus détestée à l'ouest de Montréal. Handsome JF a fait un retour à Montréal en 2008, luttant pour la NCW où il a été nommé découverte de l'année. Il lutte aussi à la FCL et a eu un excellent combat face à Don Paysan à la CWC de Sherbrooke.
Joshua Aero like Boyer lost a better ranking when he took the decision to call it quit in the fall. In 2008, he teamed with Marko Estrada as the Maritime Express. Jay Phenomenom had a good year in the NCW tag team division holding the belts twice with his partner Karl Briscoe. In the same division, Kid Rock and his partner Gorgeous Mike also held the titles. They wrestled for FCl too. Same for Guil Reno, who teamed with James Kraven in NCW and was tag champion with his brother Brian in FCL. Pee Wee's hard work finally paid off as he climbed his way on top of Quebec City wrestling, becoming R2W champion for some time. Alex Silva is one of the best young prospect in Quebec. Son of former wrestler Tommy Rose, he already made his way into United States, winning a title in Hawaii.
Jeremy Barnoff, also known as The Prophet, wrestled mostly for MWF and SWR. It was a dream come true for La Parfaite Caroline when she won the ALF title. She's in the Top 50 for the second year in a row, becoming the 4th women to do so, after LuFisto, Vanessa Kraven and Misty Haven. X-Ode Pat Guénette shocked everyone in Valleyfield when he turned his back not only on his best friend Marvelous Jeff but also on his mother, who is co-owner of the MWF. He then became the most hated guy west of Montreal. Handsome JF did a comeback in Montreal this year, wrestling for NCW where he was named newcomer of the year. He also wrestled for FCL and had a very good match against Don Paysan for CWC in Sherbrooke.

Pour la première fois de son existence, 2 Américains font partie du Top 50. Il s'agit de Cheech et Cloudy qui ont connu beaucoup de succès à la IWS en 2008. Ils ont même fait partie d'un des matchs de l'année, un TLC à Un F'NSanctionned. Gorgeous Mike, dans l'équipe Pretty in Pink avec Kid Rock a connu une belle année, étant d'ailleurs voté 3e finalistes au titre de meilleur équipe. Traver, qui est sans aucun doute le plus beau talent naturel à Jonquière fait son entrée dans le Top 50. Moins bien connu que d'autres par son emplacement, il n'a cependant rien à envier aux meilleurs lutteurs de haute-voltige du Québec, voir du Canada. Green Phantom a continué à garder le fort pour la IWS en plus d'avoir un dark match pour ROH.
Bishop, après avoir eu le plus long règne de champion à la NCW, est redescendu quelque peu au classement, mais demeure un incontournable dans sa fédération. Vanessa Kraven, même si elle a été votée au 8e rang chez les filles, demeure impressionnante en comparaison aux hommes, raison pourquoi elle est la 3e femme dans le Top 50. Elle a entre autres fait une tournée au Japon en 2008, ce que peu de gens peuvent se vanter. Il faut savoir que ce n'est pas le même comité qui vote pour les 2 classements. Busty Love a connu une belle année à la NCW remportant le titre Triple Couronne, Giovanni a continué à faire partie de l'élite dans la région de Québec et finalement, le vétéran Mobster a lutté presque toute l'année pour la ICW, avant de se retirer à la fin de l'année. Il aura fait partie de la ICW tout au long de sa carrière.
For the first time, 2 Americans are part of the Top 50. There are Cheech and Cloudy, who had success with IWS in 2008. They were involved in one of the match of the year, the Un F'N Santionned TLC match. Gorgeous Mike, with Kid Rock as Pretty in Pink, had a good year, being name the 3rd runner-up for tag team of the year. Traver, who is probably the best pure talent in Jonquière, enters the Top 50 for the first time. Not as known as some others due to his location, he's right up there with the best flying wrestlers in Quebec, if not Canada. Green Phantom is still one of the IWS main wrestler, having a ROH dark match in November.
After having the longest NCW title reign in its history, Bishop took a step down in the ranking, but is still a NCW top guy. Vanessa Kraven was ranked 8th amongst women but she is so impressive compares to men that she is the 3rd women in the Top 50. She did wrestle in Japan in 2008, a fact that very few can say. Let's not forget that it's not the same committee who votes for the 2 rankings, the Top 50 and Top 10. Busty Love had a good year for NCW winning the Triple Crown title, Giovanni continued to be part of Quebec City elite wrestlers and finally but not least, wrestling's veteran Mobster wrestled for ICW and retired at the end of the year. He has been with ICW since the beginning of his career.
